Amsterdam may reconsider its approach to tourist recreation. Residents are proposing to end cannabis sales on weekends, ban coffee shops, and reduce opening hours for bars and prostitutes. Smoking and drinking may be outlawed in some parts of the city. All these proposals will be considered at a meeting of the Amsterdam city council on December 21.
