Russian tourists have been accused of importing infections from Egypt and Turkey

Tourists continue to be considered “sources” of coronavirus to Russia, at least in the regions. Thus, the “delivery” of the coronavirus by tourists to the Tula region from Turkey and Egypt was reported at a meeting of the operational headquarters in the regional government.

According to the head of the local Rospotrebnadzor Alexander Lomovtsev, the statistics are as follows – last week, ie the week of “coronavirus vacation” in the regions, there were 3 cases of COVID-19 – one of the locals brought the infection from Egypt, and two more – infected in Turkey . The head of the local Rospotrebnadzor also added that since the beginning of 2021, 380 administrative cases have been initiated against those tourists who arrived from foreign tours and did not pass the tests. At the same time, those who have not been vaccinated do not need to do so.

And it is obvious that “conscious” tourists, ie those who registered at the State Services, returning from abroad and, accordingly, “passed” their contacts and PCR test, were recorded. Note also that vaccinated tourists do not need to take tests.
