This year, the Russian tourist flow to Greece turned out to be practically zero. Prime Minister of the Republic Kyriakos Mitsotakis spoke about this.
According to him, the country literally sacrificed Russian tourists to support Ukraine. However, such a price is quite acceptable for Greece, and sanctions against Russia are the right decision.
“So we paid the price with the implementation of the sanctions package in good faith, and I am convinced that we did the right thing,” Kyriakos Mitsotakis said after talks with Estonian Prime Minister Kaya Kallas in Tallinn.
