Philippines lifts entry restrictions for tourists

Information has appeared on the TTG Asia portal that Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has lifted the existing covid restrictions in the country. This step can return the foreign tourist flow to the previous level.

The decision of the President cancels the PCR test for coronavirus for vaccinated travelers. With an antigen test, the result of which is received 24 hours before the trip or upon arrival, unvaccinated travelers will also be able to enter the country.

Another good news concerns the softening of the mask regime. Now wearing a mask is required only in medical facilities and on public transport. Masks are recommended for the elderly, unvaccinated, and people with chronic diseases.
