A new taxi service has been launched in Paris — Heetch Bike. These are bicycles with cabins that transport passengers around the city.
According to The Mayor, the company promises that “you can travel around Paris 40 percent faster and 20 percent cheaper than a regular taxi.”
Heetch Bike is counting on the growing demand for bicycles in the French capital. The service became beautiful after opening a large pedestrian area near the Eiffel Tower.
The company assures that passengers will feel safe and comfortable in a bicycle taxi. The cabins have several heated seats, protection from wind and rain, and a transparent roof. For now, taxis only operate on weekends.
If successful, after the test period it can switch to 24-hour operation.
