In the upcoming winter season, the ship of the cruise operator MSC will open cruises in three countries at once on the Red Sea. It is about the ship MSC Splendida, which will make regular flights for seven nights in the Red Sea on the route Saudi Arabia – Egypt – Jordan. This was stated by the consultant of the World Tourism Organization, Said al-Batumi. European tourists, primarily from Egypt, will be able to get on such cruises.
According to him, the cruise will start from the port of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, and tourists will be shown several more areas of this country, including Al-Ula and the Yanbu region. The liner will then head to the port of Safaga on the Red Sea in Egypt. In addition to it, Egypt has a route to Luxor, the port of Ain Sukhna, from where tourists can visit the sights of Cairo. After that, the cruise will move to Aqaba, Jordan, where tourists will be offered excursions to Petra and Wadi Rum.
“These programs are a good opportunity for the three destinations, especially because they are aimed at tourists with good average spending, and in addition, the programs are structured to encourage repeat visits,” the expert added.
Let us recall the details of the liner: MSC Splendida was launched in October 2007. The liner belongs to the MSC Cruises company, but it interestingly flies the flag of Panama. There are a total of 1,637 cabins on the ship, which can accommodate 4,363 passengers.
