According to news.co.au, Australian billionaire Clive Palmer plans to build a replica of the infamous transatlantic liner Titanic. Let us remember that the famous steamship was wrecked in 1912.
The Titanic II ship project was first presented in 2013. The cost of the nine-deck ship is estimated at $1 billion, it will be able to simultaneously carry up to 2,500 passengers.
“It’s much more fun to make Titanic than to sit at home and count your money,” Palmer told reporters.
Construction will start in early 2025, and the first flight is scheduled for 2027.
