OceanGate Suspended Operations After Bathyscaphe Disaster

OceanGate has announced the suspension of all research and commercial operations following the crash of the submersible Titan in the Atlantic Ocean.

Recall that the tourist underwater vehicle “Titan” disappeared on June 18 during the descent to the sunken “Titanic”. Five people were on board the bathyscaphe. Four days later, rescuers found the wreckage of a bathyscaphe, completely destroyed as a result of an implosion – an explosion directed inward.

Fragments of the submarine, along with the alleged remains of the crew members, were later brought to the surface.
