In Spain, a bar charges visitors money for each approach of the waiter to the table.

Tourist Gayley Hermoso complained about a bar in the Spanish Zamora that charges not only for food and drinks but also for each approach of the waiter to the table. He was surprised to find a discrepancy in the check, asking for the final bill. It turned out that for each approach of the waiter, 20 cents were added to the amount, and cutlery cost the visitor 0.85 EUR.

Hermoso posted a photo of the check on his social media, and the post quickly went viral. It turned out that other visitors to the bar faced the same. So, one of them wrote: “The last straw was that he (the waiter) took money from us for a knife, which he brought so that we cut the previously ordered toast.”

Bar staff did not stand aside, responding that this practice is widespread, writes Spanish News Today.
