In Peru, protesters seized and set fire to the airport

According to El comercio, in Peru, demonstrators demanding new elections took and set fire to Andahuaylas airport.

According to the state management company Coprac, employees of the air harbor were held hostage inside. At the airport, protesters set fire to the transmitter hall, fuel storage, and the local police station. In total, due to the unrest in Andahuaylas, dozens of citizens were injured, and at least two were killed.

Similar protests continue in Lima, Apurimac, Cajamarca, Arequipa, Lambaek, and Ica. Their members oppose the presidency of Dina Boluarte.
