Hotels in Turkey, as well as Egypt, are under pressure from Ukrainian politicians. They are trying to sell the decision not to accept Russian tourists in hotels.
In particular, according to Turkish media reports, Ukrainian Ambassador to Ankara Vasyl Bodnar recently attacked the president of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB) Firuz Baglikaya in his social media account. It was there that the ambassador urged travel agencies not to work with TÜRSAB – due to the fact that the association works with Russian tourists.
Their Ukrainian colleagues also joined – that is, the Association of Travel Agencies of Ukraine. Its executive director, Pavlo Hryhorash, also demanded that Turkey not accept Russian tourists. Rather, he demanded an “explanation of the situation”, addressing hotels in Turkey and Egypt. At the same time, unequivocally threatening hoteliers: “It is not good to receive guests from two countries in hotels at the same time. Conflicts can arise in these cases, and this will damage hotels. That is why Turkey should not receive Russian tourists, ”he shouted.
At the same time, a video appeared on social networks in which people representing travel agents in Ukraine called on hotels in Turkey and Egypt to give up “bloody money” and stop any cooperation with Russian companies and tourists.

However, given that Ukraine as a market most Turkish experts have “canceled” this season without waiting for customers, and there are still hopes for tourists from Russia – the prospects for such appeals are not very promising.
