Greece lifts all covid entry restrictions for tourists

According to The Independent, the Greek authorities have announced the lifting of all entry restrictions for foreign tourists.

The decision comes into force on May 1, it will be valid until September 1, 2022.

Now foreign guests, regardless of the availability of vaccination, will no longer have to take PCR or antigen tests before traveling, as well as undergo rapid testing for COVID-19 upon arrival in Greece.

The mask regime is also canceled in public places and in the open air.

At the same time, the head of the Greek Ministry of Health, Thanos Pleuris, clarified that the easing of anti-coronavirus restrictions is a temporary measure that was introduced only for the summer. In September, the rules will be revised, the decision to extend or cancel them will be made by the authorities, based on the epidemiological situation in the country.

Recall that earlier the Greek authorities for the period from May 1 to August 31 canceled the need for residents and tourists to present vaccination certificates or certificates of the transferred coronavirus at the entrance to bars, restaurants and other catering establishments.
