The Independent writes that the authorities of Barcelona (Spain) have decided to ban cruise ships from entering the central port.
The decision comes into force on October 22 and is designed to reduce water pollution in the city’s water area.
Now cruise ships will have to moor in the southern port at the Adossat Mall pier, and tourists will begin to be transported to the city center by buses.
Also, from October 22, it was decided to reduce from ten to seven the number of ships that can simultaneously moor in Barcelona.
