Another passenger airline has appeared in Turkey – Unison Aviation. Its founder is Mehmet Chingiz, a well-known Turkish developer, close to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. This was reported on Thursday by the information portal Sozcu.
As the newspaper notes, over the past 20 years, 21 airlines have gone bankrupt in the republic. Among them are Atlasjet and Onurair. However, this did not stop Mehmet Chingiz, and he decided to try himself in the field of air travel. Moreover, the businessman is one of the co-founders of the IGA Airport Operation, which manages the Istanbul International Airport. Therefore, the question of where Unison Aviation will be based is practically resolved.
At the same time, little is known about the new airline. In particular, its authorized capital is 36 million Turkish liras. Unison Aviation plans to work in the field of passenger air transportation. Plans include both regular and charter domestic and international flights. In addition, the airline will provide excursion services, as well as work as an air taxi for tourists. For these purposes, helicopters are provided in the park.
Note that this year three carriers appeared in Turkey at once: Southwind, Mavigok Aviation, and Air Anka.
