The summer tourist season has been extended for another month on the beaches of Antalya, the main resort province of Turkey. For the first time in the history of tourism in this country, the most popular beaches extended the reception of tourists until the beginning of the calendar winter. And all thanks to the extremely hot weather that settled over the Eastern Mediterranean.
In the summer, the hot sun still warms the resorts of Turkey, so the beaches in the popular Antalya are filled with a crowd of vacationers. According to the forecast meteorologists, the daytime temperature in Antalya at the level of +24 degrees will last at least until the middle of November. The water temperature in the sea is currently at the same comfort level.
Patara
In the direction of Kasha, in Patara, where there is a chic sandy beach 18 kilometers long, which is intertwined with the ancient city of Patara and is one of the longest beaches in the world, all the infrastructure will be available to tourists until the end of November, although in previous years the facilities that tell municipality, always closed on October 31. It was decided to extend the season due to the good weather this year and the influx of vacationers.
According to Ali Pehlivan, manager of facilities at Patara Beach, in recent years, about 100 local and foreign tourists came to the beach every day at the end of October, but now the traffic has increased 10-15 times. “The weather is good this year, so now there are 1,000 to 1,500 people on the coast every day. They swim in the sea for days. 90 percent of the arrivals are British, German, Russian, and Italian tourists. Every day after 10:00 a.m. the beach begins to fill up. We have conveyed the situation to our mayor Kash Mutl Ulutash. The president also extended the deadline for closing the facilities until the end of November. For the first time, the season is getting longer,” Turkish Haberturk quoted his statement as saying.
Konyaalty
On the other hand, Konyaalti Beach in the center of Antalya also attracts sun lovers. The beach, serviced all year round, is interesting for those who go to the sea in summer and travel along the coast in winter.
