Amsterdam airport asks airlines to cancel flights

According to Reuters, the management of Schiphol Airport (Amsterdam, the Netherlands) has asked airlines to cancel flights for the second half of today, September 12, due to a lack of staff.

We are talking about the period from 16:00 to 23:00 local time.

It is noted that long queues have gathered at one of the busiest airports in Europe, and many passengers are late for their flights.

Recall that since April in Schiphol there have been constant disruptions in work due to a lack of staff. Hundreds of flights are canceled, and huge queues constantly form.

According to the airport administration, “terminal staff are working hard to ensure that everyone can travel, but, unfortunately, there is a possibility that travelers will miss their flight due to a long wait.”
