TripAdvisor, the world’s largest platform for travelers, was named the trendiest travel destination for 2024 according to the Travelers’ Choice Awards.
According to the ranking’s creators, less than 1% of the 8 million properties on TripAdvisor received the “Best of the Best” title, whose hotels, restaurants, and entertainment received the highest number of high reviews from users of the platform over a 12-month period.

3. Halong Bay, Vietnam.
4. Palawan Island, Philippines.
5. Mountain village of Sapa, Vietnam.
6. The city of Bogotá, Colombia.
7. The city of Pattaya, Thailand.
8. The city of Alajuela, Costa Rica.
9. Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
10. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
It is worth noting that the top twenty trending tourist destinations for 2024 were not located in Europe at all. According to Tripadvisor, the most popular (and the only one in the top 25) European destination in 2024 will be the Romanian city of Brasov, which took 21st place in the rating.
