TripAdvisor, the world’s largest platform for travelers, was named the most popular tourist destination for 2023 according to the Travelers Choice Awards.
In the “Popular Destinations – World” category, the winner was Dubai (UAE), which has made alcohol more accessible to tourists since 2023. It was followed by Bali (Indonesia), London (Great Britain), Rome (Italy), and Paris (France). In total, 25 tourist destinations around the world made a list.
TripAdvisor also identified the leaders in the “Trending destinations – world” category:
- Cuba
- Hoi An (Vietnam)
- Mauritius
- Siem Reap (Cambodia)
- Chiang Mai (Thailand)
In addition, the winners were announced in the categories “Best Nature Destinations” (Mauritius) and “Best Gastronomic Destinations” (Rome, Italy).
