The travel portal Hawaiian Islands analyzed millions of comments from travelers on Tripadvisor and compiled a rating of the “quiet” beaches in the world. To ensure the list was accurate, analysts looked for reviews with the phrase “calm waters.” And they determined the top 10 beaches, citing publicly available reviews.
Baby Beach on Maui topped the list, with “calm water” mentioned in 27.82 percent of reviews. As the portal writes, most of America’s calm beaches are generally concentrated in Hawaii.
22.8 percent of positive reviews belong to Ten Bay Beach in Eleuthera, which is located in the Bahamas. As travelers wrote, the beach on this island reminds them of a giant swimming pool. Therefore, it is great for families with children and relaxing swimming.
In third place is Browns Beach, located in Barbados. Paradise Beach became famous precisely because of its calm waters and lack of waves. Following it in the world ranking are the islands of Bloody Bay in Jamaica, Moulin Rouge in Grenada, Playa Mansa in Uguguay, and Marathi Beach in Greece. It is noteworthy that “calm waters” in Europe can only be found in Greece; in other countries, as the portal writes, beaches are characterized by waves.
The last three positions belong to the islands of Playa las Ballenas in the Dominican Republic, Carlisle Bay in Barbados, and Mauna Kea Beach in Hawaii.
