On the evening of July 16, the SSJ 100 aircraft of the Azimuth airline, en route from Istanbul to Russia, was forced to land at the Sochi airport. The cause was health problems in a 64-year-old woman.
The “dry” departed from the Turkish airport at 18:42. Among the passengers on board was a 64-year-old woman with limited mobility. She was unaccompanied. When the plane was flying over the Black Sea, this passenger felt unwell and lost consciousness.
The crew decided to make an emergency landing in Sochi, and also requested a team of doctors who met the liner. The paramedics tried to resuscitate the woman, but they failed. As a result, doctors pronounced him dead.
It is known that the rest of the passengers had to leave the board, and go through customs and border procedures. From Sochi, the liner set off on its route 5 hours after the emergency landing.
