According to the Daily Mail, Vladimir Putin forbade his daughter to go abroad for her birthday for fear that she was not going to return to Russia.
According to Moscow sources, scientist Dr. Maria Vorontsova wanted to fly to a “friendly” country in Moscow to relax on a tropical beach to celebrate his 37th birthday. She was planning a romantic trip with 33-year-old Yevhen Nagorny, her partner, after divorcing a Dutchman, the son of a NATO colonel.
“Putin refused, strengthening Maria’s security. “According to our information, the president’s eldest daughter did not plan to return to Russia,” sources in Moscow said.
The report does not say whether the reason for her alleged plan to flee to another country was her father’s bloody war in Ukraine.
Maria, who has come under Western sanctions for kinship with Putin, has an eight-year-old son by her ex-husband, Jorit Faassen. She is currently banned from traveling to major Western countries, but has previously enjoyed traveling to Europe.
