Putin accuses Ukraine of provocations

Russian President Vladimir Putin has accused Ukraine of provocative actions in eastern Ukraine, which inflamed the situation during a phone call with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the Kremlin said on Thursday.

In reading the appeal, the Kremlin said that both sides expressed concern over the situation in eastern Ukraine. They also discussed the case of imprisoned Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny and Libya, the Kremlin said.
