French President Emmanuel Macron has said he will not allow himself to offend Russian leader Vladimir Putin, as US President Joe Biden did, calling the Russian president a “butcher”, according to France Press.
Macron added that he “would never have used” such words. The French President also called for refraining from words and actions that could escalate the conflict in Ukraine.
The French leader said that “tomorrow or the day after tomorrow he plans to talk to the Russian president.” During the conversation, as expected, the issue of evacuation of Mariupol residents will be raised, which, according to Macron, “should be carried out as soon as possible.”
