According to the Associated Press, Mykhailo Podoliak, an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, claims that six Russian generals and dozens of other high-ranking officers have been killed since the Russian invasion began.
Podoliak wrote on Twitter today that the “high number of dead among high-ranking Russian servicemen” reflects the “complete lack of readiness”, adding that the Russian military relies on a large number of troops and cruise missiles.
The Russian military has not confirmed the deaths of any of its generals. But an adjutant and a group of officers in Russia confirmed the death of one of them, Major General Andrei Sukhovetsky, commander of the 7th Airborne Division.
