Zelensky: Most armies in the world “do not have as much as Russian troops lost during the invasion”

President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video message on Saturday that Russia is suffering heavy losses in the war with Ukraine.

“The losses of the Russian troops are colossal. The dynamics of the losses of the invaders on the 17th day is already such that we can confidently say: this is the biggest blow to the Russian army in decades. They have not lost anywhere else in such a number of days,” the Ukrainian leader said.

According to him, the 31st battalion-tactical group of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine has lost its combat capability.

“The Russian military surrenders not just alone, but in whole groups. Groups are trying to go home from the territory of Ukraine, to Russia,” the Ukrainian leader stated.

He noted that the losses of the Russian army “in terms of technical capabilities are simply amazing.” “More than 360 tanks. 1205 armored vehicles. And this is without counting the losses in the battles this night and in the morning. Already about 60 aircraft. More than 80 helicopters. Hundreds and hundreds of units of other equipment. In particular, the most modern designs that Russia is proud of,” Zelensky listed.

According to him, most of the world’s armies “do not have as much as the Russian troops lost during the invasion.”

The President stressed that in Ukraine there is a “patriotic, people’s war – a war for independence – and not just the state, but the entire Ukrainian one.”

Zelensky believes that the enemy is trying to take Ukraine by numbers, but this will not work.

He stressed that the Ukrainian army will do everything to “deprive the enemy of any desire to continue the war.”
