Israel is making great efforts to hold high-level talks between Ukraine and Russia, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, adding that they could take place in Jerusalem, according to Agence France-Presse.
Zelensky stressed that Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett was trying to find a way to negotiate with Russia, and stressed that Kyiv was grateful to him for that.
It is possible that talks between Russia and Ukraine will take place in Jerusalem, Zelensky added. “This is a good place to make peace. If possible,” the Ukrainian president said in a video released by Telegram.

Zelensky also ridiculed “Russian propagandists,” saying they faced a difficult task. “For the first time in history, the president of a foreign state speaks on video to the Knesset and all the people of Israel,” the statement said. “The President of Ukraine, whom Russia accuses of Nazism, addressed the Knesset, the people of Israel,” it said.
“This fact alone proves that things are not as Moscow claims,” said the Ukrainian president, a Jew by birth.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has called Ukrainian leaders “neo-Nazis” and declared “denationalization” of Ukraine one of the goals of his military offensive, which began on February 24.
