On April 20, a spokesman for Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that Russia had already submitted a draft peace agreement to Ukraine, in which “there are clear proposals from Russia,” and is awaiting a response from Kyiv. At the same time, he criticized Ukraine for failing to fulfill its promises and negatively affecting the negotiations. According to Kyiv, such a document does not exist at all.
Mikhail Podolyak, an adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine, responded to Peskov’s statement that Russia “likes to make loud statements in order to put pressure on various processes, this is Moscow’s traditional tactic.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he “had never seen or heard of the document that Russia claims was handed over to Ukraine.”
