Nearly 17,000 Russian soldiers have been killed in Ukraine so far, the Ukrainian General Staff said on Monday, according to the Anadolu Agency.
Ukrainian forces destroyed 123 Russian planes, 127 helicopters, 586 tanks, 1,694 armored vehicles, 1,150 cars, 66 drones, 73 fuel tanks and seven boats, according to the latest update of the General Staff of Ukraine.
At least 302 Russian artillery units, 95 volley fire systems and 54 air defense systems were also destroyed, the report said.
Russia’s war in Ukraine has sparked international outrage as the European Union, the United States and Britain, along with other countries, have imposed tough financial sanctions on Moscow.
According to the United Nations, which warned that the figure was probably much higher, at least 1,119 civilians were killed and 1,790 wounded in Ukraine.
According to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, more than 3.82 million Ukrainians have also fled to neighboring countries, and millions more have been displaced.
