The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Office will cover the costs of accommodation in the emirate’s hotels for tourists arriving from Ukrainian cities by February 28, 2022, and will reimburse the hotels for the costs of accommodation for guests who cannot return home.
The day before, the Dubai airline flydubai announced the temporary suspension of flights from Dubai to the city of Ukraine until March 8 due to hostilities in the country. Flydubai also canceled flights on the route Dubai – Minsk – Dubai until February 27 inclusive.
In addition, flights to Ukrainian cities have also been suspended by budget airlines Air Arabia and Wizz Air Abu Dhabi. Etihad Airways has stated that it is changing its flight routes after the start of active hostilities on Ukrainian territory.
The management of one of the largest airlines in the Middle East, Qatar Airways, also said that all flights to Ukrainian cities were “temporarily suspended.”
