Russian troops have been pushed back from their positions near the southern Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih, the Ukrainian army said today, DPA reports.
“The invaders are now at least 40 kilometers (from Kryvyi Rih),” said Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the city’s military administration in Dnipropetrovsk region, in a video posted on Facebook.
According to a statement that cannot be confirmed by an independent source, some Russian troops have retreated to the neighboring Kherson region.
According to Kyiv, in some places Russian troops were located 10 kilometers from Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
