According to Vadim Denisenko, adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Russia has begun using Brest Airport in western Belarus, near the border with Poland, for missile strikes on Ukraine.
The words of the adviser, spoken on the air of Ukrainian television, are quoted by the Ukrinform agency.
– The offensive from Belarus has actually already begun. In addition, the Russians began to use the Brest airport for rocket attacks on our territory, Denisenko said.
Moscow puts pressure on Minsk
He added that the Belarusian regime is not ready to send its ground forces to Ukraine, but the pressure from Russia on this issue is so great that it cannot be ruled out that such an attack will take place.
On Wednesday, the Ukrainian General Staff said that although the Belarusian authorities officially deny their participation in the war, they are providing their territory, airports and transport networks to Russian troops.
