Several thousand soldiers, including tanks, planes and helicopters. Russia has suffered huge losses since the beginning of the invasion. The General Staff of Ukraine has published another report.
Since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine, Russian troops have lost 17.3 thousand military personnel, as well as 605 tanks, 305 artillery systems, 131 aircraft and 131 helicopters.
From February 29 to March 30, Russia also lost 1,723 armored vehicles, 96 multi-barreled rocket launchers, 54 anti-aircraft systems, 1,184 vehicles, seven ships, 75 fuel tanks, 81 unmanned aerial vehicles and four short-range mobile ballistic missile systems, Facebook said.
Russian troops have tactical problems
Russia is having difficulty reorganizing its forces in Ukraine and, while announcing its focus on the offensive in Donbass, it is likely to tacitly admit that it is difficult for it to support more than one important offensive line, the UK Department of Defense assessed on Wednesday morning.
The Russian units, which suffered heavy losses, were forced to return to Belarus and Russia to reorganize and replenish supplies. These actions put additional pressure on already strained Russian logistics and show the difficulties Russia is facing in reorganizing its units in forward areas. Russia is likely to continue to compensate for its limited maneuverability on the battlefield with massive artillery and rocket strikes. Russia’s stated focus on offensives in Donetsk and Luhansk is likely a tacit admission that it finds it difficult to support more than one meaningful attack vector.
