This Sunday marks exactly two months since the beginning of the war in Ukraine.
According to the Daily Mail, Russia’s armed forces, which have the second largest army in the world (before the invasion of Ukraine), lost between 20,000 and 30,000 troops during the period.
As for the lost Russian equipment, the figures are no less impressive: in two months, 873 tanks, 2,238 armored vehicles, 179 aircraft, 154 helicopters and 408 artillery pieces were destroyed on Ukrainian territory.
This figure is striking given the huge difference in military capabilities between the two countries. On February 24, the Russian army invaded Ukraine, with 280,000 soldiers versus 125,600 Ukrainians.
The reported figures have not yet been confirmed by Moscow.
