Ukraine has been creating strategic food reserves for several years, the Ukrayinska Pravda website reports, citing the words of Prime Minister Denys Shmygal at a government meeting.
“We have created strategic food reserves for several years in Ukraine,” Shmygal said.
He added that the government has launched a free distribution program for basic foodstuffs in front-line cities. – The state buys more than 10 such products and distributes them to people. This is also support for Ukrainian producers, support for our food production,” he said.
As Ukrayinska Pravda recalls, Russia is blockading 94 civilian food ships in the Black Sea region and has already bombed three civilian ships that were delivering supplies from Black Sea ports around the world.
