“Plans made over the years are ruined in a week.” Zelensky about the resistance of Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, in a speech posted on Facebook, said that the Ukrainians in one week destroyed the plans of the enemy, which had been developed for years.

– We are a nation that managed to destroy the plans of the enemy in a week. Plans have evolved over the years. Treacherously and deliberately. From hatred for our country, for our people, for every person who has two things – heart and freedom. But we stopped them,” Zelensky said.

– Even ordinary peasants intercept Russian soldiers every day. And they (the Russians – ed.) all say the same thing: they don’t know why they are here,” the president said.

Flight of the Russians

Zelenskiy added that more and more Russian soldiers are fleeing west “from the Ukrainians” and that he called Russian forces “confused and mocked.” He urged them to return home to Russia.

– I’m sure that if the Russians left somewhere, then only for a while. We will throw them out. With a stigma,” commented the Ukrainian leader. According to him, the Ukrainians “beat the enemy even without weapons.” Zelensky expressed admiration for the civilians who defended Konotop, Bastanka, Energodar, Melitopol and other villages and cities, who did not let the invaders through by blocking the roads.

The President said that almost 9,000 people died on Ukrainian soil in a week. The Russians, however, “Ukraine doesn’t want to be covered with corpses of soldiers. Go home. Your whole army.”

Russia’s allies in the UN

Zelensky informed about the talks held on Wednesday with Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Stor, Prime Minister of Israel Naftali Benet, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Sani, President of the European Council Charles Michel, Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudy.

The President of Ukraine stressed that on Wednesday 141 UN countries opposed the war in Ukraine, and only four countries: North Korea, Syria, Eritrea and Belarus remain allies of Russian aggression.
