Ukrayinska Pravda reported that some South Ossetian soldiers refused to take part in hostilities in Ukraine and returned to Tskhinval under their own power.
We are talking about three hundred soldiers from South Ossetia, a region controlled by Russia after the Russo-Georgian war in 2008, who refused to participate in the fighting in Ukraine. According to Ukrayinska Pravda, based on information from the Mediazona portal, they ran away from home.
Mediazona quotes one of the servicemen of the fourth military base at the Nizhny Zaramag border crossing: “They took us and wanted us to die, and our commanders were awarded orders.”
