The conflict in Ukraine could last for months or even years, British Deputy Prime Minister Dominique Raab said today, adding that international allies must demonstrate “strategic resilience” to ensure the failure of Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to Reuters.
“Our mission with our allies is to make Putin fail in Ukraine, and it will take some time – months or even years,” he said.

Therefore, we need to show some strategic resilience, because it will not end in a few days, Raab told Sky News.
Raab also said rumors of Russia’s danger of using nuclear weapons during the invasion of Ukraine were dangerous political rhetoric. He answered questions from a Sky News reporter about a possible nuclear escalation by the Kremlin.
Raab said that this was a distraction from the real problems, and they were that there was an illegal intrusion and everything went wrong.
