German Chancellor Olaf Scholz had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. During the conversation, Scholz warned that if Moscow recognizes the independence of the rebel republics in eastern Ukraine, then this will be a unilateral violation of the Minsk Peace Agreements of 2015 and a unilateral violation of these agreements by Russia,” the German leader said.
He is currently consulting with “his closest partners”, including French President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
