“Russian troops have slowed down the pace of the offensive in Ukraine,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed. As noted, over the past day, the Russians launched missile and bomb strikes mainly on civilian infrastructure.
The headquarters noted that Russian forces are still focused on trying to capture Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Mariupol, Nikolaev and Chernihiv, trying to create a land corridor between the occupied Crimea and mainland Russia, as well as occupying the Lugansk and Donetsk regions within their administrative borders.
Russians will pump fuel from Belarus
According to available information, the Russian army intends to solve the problem of efficient fuel supply through the use of the existing network of filling stations and storage facilities for petroleum products. The Russian side also plans to create a network of field pipelines in the occupied territories in order to pump fuel from the territory of Belarus.
The headquarters emphasize that the Russian troops are suffering heavy losses. It was reported, in particular, that the 14th Khabarovsk special-purpose brigade lost more than 400 servicemen, and the 25th motorized rifle brigade of the 6th Army was withdrawn to Russian territory due to the loss of combat capability.
Night raids
The Russians continue their attacks on Ukrainian cities. At night there were raids on Okhtrika and Kharkov. In Okhtyrka, Sumy region in northern Ukraine, at least one person died and 14 were injured. In the Kharkiv region in eastern Ukraine, they continue to shell objects necessary for the functioning of infrastructure, including thermal power plants, as well as residential buildings. In turn, an anti-aircraft alert was announced in the Kiev region. As a result of explosions, 150 people were evacuated from one house in Kharkov, and about 200 from another.
