The British Ministry of Defense has announced that Russia is moving troops from Georgia to war-torn Ukraine. They are designed to reinforce the forces involved in the invasion.
“Russia is moving parts of its forces from Georgia to reinforce the invasion of Ukraine. Between 1,200 and 2,000 of these troops are regrouping into three tactical battalion groups. It is unlikely that Russia planned to reinforce in this way, and this is evidence of the unexpected losses it suffered during the invasion” , the British Ministry wrote in its daily intelligence report.
Earlier, the Ukrainian General Staff reported that the Russians want to create a new group of troops in eastern Ukraine. Their goal is to capture parts of the eastern regions and several local cities. The Russians are also building up their forces in Belarus.
