Russia is using the first hypersonic missile in Ukraine to divert attention from the confrontation of troops on the battlefield in the country. This, according to the British Ministry of Defense.
In the last few days, Russia has said that for the first time in combat conditions, it has launched hypersonic missiles at targets in western Ukraine.
Russian authorities claim that the missile, known as the Dagger, can hit targets at a distance of up to 2,000 kilometers at speeds of more than 6,000 kilometers per hour.
However, according to the British Ministry of Defense, the missiles are unlikely to be able to “significantly affect the outcome” of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
