The UK will supply about 6,000 more missiles to Ukraine and provide an additional £30m to support BBC broadcasts in the region and to pay Ukrainian soldiers and pilots, Reuters reported citing Downing Street.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson will announce this new aid package today at the NATO and G7 summits, demonstrating a desire to further strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
“After a month of this crisis, the international community is faced with a choice. We can keep the flame of freedom in Ukraine or risk extinguishing it in Europe and the world,” the statement said.
The UK has said it will supply Ukraine with about 10,000 missiles and more than £400m in humanitarian and economic aid with the new package.
