Endocrinologist and nutritionist Tetyana Bocharova points out who should exclude cabbage from their diet or at least minimize its consumption.
According to experts, cabbage can not be eaten by people suffering from intestinal diseases. This vegetable is high in fiber, which will provoke bloating, gas and exacerbation, explains the endocrinologist.
“Coarse fiber makes cabbage a difficult food to digest. Vegetables are harmful for those who have undergone surgery on the gastrointestinal tract, when the body is recovering, as well as for young children under two years,” – says a nutritionist.
Cabbage should not be eaten by those diagnosed with pancreatitis. They can eat only boiled or stewed cabbage and no more than 100 g per day.
