Over the past 12 months, the cost of living in Turkish hotels has increased by 79.14%. This is reported by the publication Turizm Guncel concerning the report of the National Institute of Statistics of the Republic.
According to the text of the document, the inflation rate in Turkey in July amounted to 79.6% compared to 78.62% a month earlier. Accordingly, this was reflected in the consumer basket.
The prices for healthcare services increased the most – by 7% compared to June. Food prices went up by 3.15%, and lunch in restaurants by 2.5%.
As for the cost of holidays in Turkish hotels, the monthly increase seems to be quite acceptable – 2.4%. However, compared to the beginning of the year, the average price per room has already increased by 48.5% and compared to July 2021 by 79.1%.
Let’s note, that the Minister of Finance of Turkey promises that by the end of the year inflation should not exceed 50%. This will help stop the progressive rise in prices in the republic. However, independent financial analysts, on the contrary, are confident that inflation will continue to grow and cross the 100% mark. Accordingly, this will seriously affect the cost of recreation in the country.
