According to the Izvestia newspaper, some hotels in Egypt are ready to start accepting payments in rubles by the beginning of the winter beach season – in December-January. This was stated by the head of the Russian-Egyptian Business Council (REDS) Mikhail Orlov.
According to him, by the beginning of the tourist season, it will be possible to pay in rubles in individual hotels, and everywhere they will start accepting rubles later.
Orlov noted that for settlements between the Russian Federation and Egypt, a branch of one of the Russian banks can be opened in this country, and in Russia – an Egyptian one.
