Cocaine in bananas in a Croatian store

In a store in the Croatian town of Ploce, 18kg of cocaine was found among boxes of bananas. Cocaine was found yesterday morning by an employee of the store, who immediately called the police.

Police said they found 16 packages containing a total of 18.2kg of cocaine. The drug was confiscated by police and an investigation was launched immediately.

Just a few months ago, Croatian police found large amounts of cocaine. Earlier this week, prosecutors accused three people of smuggling 56kg of cocaine from Ecuador through the port of Ploce.

It is possible that the currently found 18 kg of cocaine are part of the same batch.
