American Express analyzed its travel data and compiled a list of destinations that are already popular with tourists in 2024, reports Americanexpress.com.
The list of popular locations is based on reservations made by Amex card members. The portal notes an increase compared to the period from 2019 to 2023. From this analysis, one destination stands out as leading the way in popularity: Japan has become the fastest-growing travel destination among Gen Z and Millennial youth, with an impressive increase in bookings of more than 1,300 percent from 2019 to 2023, according to Amex data.
The top 10 destinations travelers plan to travel to next year, according to Amex booking data, are as follows:
- Adelaide Hills, Australia;
- Bodrum, Türkiye;
- Cervo, Italy;
- Saint Kitts and Nevis;
- Niseko, Japan;
- San Miguel de Allende, Mexico;
- Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA;
- Seychelles;
