Dozens of passengers were injured on a flight from Australia to New Zealand

According to Sky News, on March 11, about 50 passengers and flight attendants were injured on a Latam Airlines flight from Australia to New Zealand.

The incident with the Boeing plane occurred during a flight from Sydney to Auckland; the plane suddenly lost altitude: according to representatives of the Chilean airline, this happened due to a “technical problem.” The malfunction caused “violent movement” and a sudden loss of altitude. As a result, unbelted passengers flew up to the ceiling of the cabin, receiving a lot of injuries.

Upon landing at Auckland International Airport, the crew requested medical assistance. More than 10 emergency vehicles, including five ambulances, met the plane on the airfield.

About 50 passengers and flight attendants were injured, 13 of them required hospitalization, and one victim is in very serious condition.
