Cirium analysts presented their annual ranking of the most punctual airlines in the world.
Thus, in 2023, the Colombian airline Avianca Airlines became the most punctual. Just a couple of years ago, the low-cost airline was facing bankruptcy due to the coronavirus pandemic and flight restrictions. However, a timely restructuring allowed him not only to restore his work but also to become a leader in the prestigious world ranking. According to Cirium experts, 85.73% of all Avianca flights last year arrived at their destination airport on time.
In second place is another South American airline, Azul Airlines, with 85.51% of flights operated on schedule.
The third line of the ranking is occupied by the famous airline Qatar Airways (85.11%), and the fourth is the American Delta Airlines (84.72%). The Spanish national carrier Iberia closes the top five with 84.38%.
The TOP 10 also included LATAM Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Japan Airlines, Saudi Arabian Airlines, and American Airlines.
