According to Sky News, on March 11, about 50 passengers and flight attendants were injured on a Latam Airlines flight from Australia to New Zealand.
The incident with the Boeing plane occurred during a flight from Sydney to Auckland; the plane suddenly lost altitude: according to representatives of the Chilean airline, this happened due to a “technical problem.” The malfunction caused “violent movement” and a sudden loss of altitude. As a result, unbelted passengers flew up to the ceiling of the cabin, receiving a lot of injuries.
Upon landing at Auckland International Airport, the crew requested medical assistance. More than 10 emergency vehicles, including five ambulances, met the plane on the airfield.
